My personal favorite thing about NW Folklife: trying on this buttery soft pair of perfect bright red swirly "Caracola" snail shoes handmade in Spain, which I will not buy:
oh wow...folklife! (and those gorgeous shoes! yowza. i'm impressed that you tried them on and didn't bring them home with you!) the busking accordians were always my favorite. that and contra dancing...thanks for finding plot 55 and saying hello - nice to hear from the NW - we miss it greatly!
